When I opened the Ever Bilena Plus, the first thing I noticed was the smell, or rather, the lack thereof. Out of six of the serums, only the Vitamin C + CoQ10 Morning Serum was lightly fragranced. I don’t know about you, but the lack of scent is a plus for me – the less irritation the better.

I have a combination skin type, so it’s difficult for me to find a serum that works for my oily and dry skin. Now, I love the fact that the Ever Bilena Serums worked for my skin, mainly the Plus AHA + Peptide Resurfacing Micro-Peeling Serum.

The Peptide serum was easily absorbed and my face felt smooth and taut. I also noticed that I had that radiant glow that wasn’t there before.

I love how affordable these serums are considering their benefits on my skin. The EB Plus Bakuchiol Lifting Night Serum made my skin feel smooth and left no residue on my face. This one has anti-aging benefits, helps lessen hyperpigmentation, and boosts collagen production, although time will tell if it’s effective.

However, as much as I like the Ever Bilena Plus serums, I have a few reservations. The EB Plus Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Boost Serum was a bit tacky on my face. I felt that my skin didn’t absorb this product as much.

Next, the EB Plus Ultra Peptide Serum was less sticky compared to the former, but it still left a viscous residue. According to the instructions, it’s best to use those two serums in the morning. But due to their leftover residue, I recommend that you don’t put on makeup after using it.

Lastly, as mentioned above, the Vitamin C + CoQ10 Morning Serum has a light fragrance, so make sure to patch test first if you have sensitive skin.

Finally, a skincare set for those who hate rejuv sets, specifically the stinging and redness, and irritation that occurs during the tedious 30-day process. I love the natural moisturizing ingredients found in the products and am especially a fan of moisturizing sunscreen. Often, I find sunscreen formulations to be too drying, but that isn’t the case here.

I also enjoyed how refreshing their cleanser felt. Unlike others, this one was truly mild. It wasn’t loaded with too many whitening agents or oil-controlling components that made your skin feel too tight after just one wash. It’s ideal as a daily cleanser for low-makeup days. However, if you do happen to be wearing a lot of makeup that day, I’d cleanse with an oil-based wash first before following it up with this one.

So, to get it out of the way: my skin concerns prior to trying this set out were dullness, uneven tone, and some textured patches here and there. Spoiler alert: I didn’t achieve the poreless, flawless-without-makeup look the brand was promoting, but the results were still pretty awesome.

Since most inclusions are fitted for lackluster and somewhat dry complexions, I was definitely happy to pack it all on. The serums served as a moisturizer, which I loved. The only product I didn’t like was the toner, which I eventually used only every other day to avoid triggering my flakiness. I ended up not finishing the entire bottle. 

Even then, I ended the month with some incredible results. I noticed fewer uneven spots and my complexion visibly became lighter. But the best part was the lack of texture in what used to be rough patches, which made it so much easier to apply makeup. The key is moderation.
