The red carpet event is one of the biggest celebrity fashion showcases of the year, with stars donning one-of-a-kind pieces from top designers of the country. Full of glitz and glamour, showbiz heavyweights step up their style game every year, though one starlet that stood out from the crowd was Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach.
The former and always confidently beautiful pageant queen stole the spotlight with her glimmering aura, exhibiting a metallic Mark Bautista piece to match her newly lightened hair with blonde highlights, finishing the look with lace-up gold heeled sandals.
She was literally in head-to-toe gold, with smoky gold eyeshadow, nude lips and sun-kissed skin, so she wasn’t just wearing a gold outfit; she had a glowing presence. While some might say that she went over the top with the gold, it was refreshing in the way that metallics are normally used as accents and accessories on an ensemble. Something as loud, shiny and eye-catching as gold is normally seen on jewelry, clutches and heels, but it’s time we started incorporating metallics into our wardrobe. 4 Simple Ways to Wear Metallics in the Daytime
Pair the metallic item with matte fabrics
While Pia was radiant in both the literal and figurative sense, a complete metallic look is never a good idea during the day. You want to mix the textures to avoid looking gimmicky, playing mix and match between glossy and matte finishes. Mix your metallic piece with neutral tones
