There’s something about soothing facial mists that just feel right. Although they’re not a “must-have” in my beauty kit, they’re the kind of add-on that you never knew you needed until you have it. Despite a hefty price tag, I’d say the hydration offered by this formula makes up for it. The scent I don’t mind, although I understand why many people call it a little strong, going so far as to say it smells like a watermelon Jolly Rancher.

I was definitely curious to try this product out, and now I have my answer! The thing I worry about many products with this vitamin is that they tend to not have a very long shelf life, with some users saying it only takes a month before they oxidize and therefore become useless. However, the formulation and use of pineapple juice seem to make this product a potential standby in my skincare routine.

The experience is mostly positive, with the texture of the product rendering my skin softer and almost clearer after just one use. You get a lot in just one bottle, although the price makes me unsure about a repurchase. There’s also the issue of fragrance in the formula, but I didn’t find it to be irritating on my skin.

Do note that my experience with this product won’t be the same as others, simply because we all have varying genetic makeup. I should also mention that I’m one of the women with dry and sensitive skin, to give you an idea of what it’s like when I try new products. That said, I thought the mask was quite soothing and left my skin feeling soft when I tried it overnight. As a wash-off treatment, I don’t think it’s as effective. However, I did notice some parts of my face developing a few small bumps after constant use, which might be due to the AHAs (I’m already using a few separate AHA-infused items as part of my routine). 

A few more good things: I absolutely loved the gel-like texture of the product. It’s hydrating without being too heavy and it’s surprisingly very fast-absorbing. I didn’t need to layer it again because one dollop was thick enough. It’s also not one of those overnight beauty products that leave a stain on your pillow the morning you wake up, which I’m grateful for!

Glow Recipe’s lineup of products is made of all-natural and vegan ingredients, and the Blueberry Bounce Cleanser is no exception. It even has bits of blueberry when you pump out the gel cleanser, making true to its claims that this product truly does make use of the fruit well and that it isn’t just all talk. Because of its blueberry included in its ingredients, it does have a fruity scent once you open up the packaging. It’s not overbearing at all. But if you’re someone who isn’t fond of scented products, this might not be for you.
