Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer Review
Our busy schedules don’t always allow for two hours of glam time. Some days call for a more casual, low-key, no-makeup makeup look. If you find yourself often rushing your beauty routine, then a tinted moisturizer is your girl.
The Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer goes deep into our pores to hydrate the skin while providing a light, sheer tint to conceal minor imperfections. Infused with shea butter that revitalizes, softens and maintains skin elasticity, the product also contains whitening agents that lighten skin with continued use, including glutathione and niacinamide.
In this Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer review, we’ll be taking a look at how to use the product, what makes it a good make-up/skincare hybrid, and what its benefits are.
Do you use tinted moisturizer as a regular moisturizer?
Your tinted moisturizer could replace a regular moisturizer, thanks to its compelling hydration properties. But if you know your skin is quick to lose moisture, then you can totally apply regular moisturizer underneath your tinted one.
Is tinted moisturizer better for your skin?
Tinted moisturizer can replace your BB cream, CC cream, and even your foundation! While it doesn’t provide the same coverage, your skin will be able to breathe more and stay hydrated at that. The sheer tint helps even out skin tone and conceal minor blemishes.
Is tinted moisturizer better than foundation for acne?
We all know having a fresh pimple outbreak right on your face can be cause for panic. Catering to our basic human instincts of wanting to cover them up any way we can, often, our first solution is to reach for the concealer or foundation. But while applying heavy pigment to conceal these bumps may work at first, they’re going to actually irritate your skin further — not with a tinted moisturizer.
Because it doubles down on soothing and hydration, you can expect your acne to be less irritated with tinted moisturizer compared to your standard concealer. If the coverage is too light, just layer on the product until you’re satisfied with the results.
Now, let’s get onto the meat of this Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer review.
You’ve heard about the Quick FX Pimple Eraser, CC Cream, and Sunscreen. If you’re a fan of the brand’s products, you’ll know they’re all for minimalism: everything from the Instagram-worthy packaging to the mild formulation aligns with the company’s vision. The products certainly help provide a quick, easy, no-brainer routine for those who can’t afford (or simply don’t feel like) a full-blown look.
The Korea-formulated brand knows one thing about the average consumer: sometimes, we just get lazy! And when we’re not lazy, it can be difficult to allot two hours to a makeup look when we’re running late for a Zoom meeting or have to pick up some groceries asap.
That’s why the Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer is marketed as a sheer, lightweight, yet way more hydrating alternative to the common foundation or even CC Cream. The formula serves as a moisturizing makeup base so all the minor imperfections are covered up and your skin is smooth and prepped. Use it alone to look naturally radiant while letting your skin breathe, or use it as the first step to a more glamorous look so the rest of your makeup glides on smoothly.

Ingredients of the Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer
The anatomy of the Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer is pretty simple. It includes 3 main components: hydrating ingredients, sun-protecting ingredients, and whitening agents, all of which work together to provide you with the best care for your skin. Here they are:
Shea Butter
Used in many lotions, creams, and more, shea butter does wonders at giving the skin moisture. It goes deep into the layers of the skin to help restore elasticity, and is one of the many natural ingredients that has actually been used in cosmetics and skin care for ages.
Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide
Tinted moisturizer and sunscreen definitely work well together, and this is one of the products that have the properties of both. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are often found in mineral sunscreens like the Quick FX Sunblock that we review here. These ingredients are great at knocking off harmful UV rays, keeping the skin free from sun damage, while also concealing blemishes. You can even use it as a sunscreen or layer underneath your usual products.
Glutathione
A popular antioxidant and whitening agent that helps lighten and brighten skin tone with continued use. It’s one of the ingredients so popular in the Philippines, it even comes in oral tablet form and IV drips. It makes up half of the whitening components found in this product’s ingredients list.
Niacinamide
Another one of those highly celebrated “miracle” skin care ingredients, niacinamide works wonders at lightening the skin and fading out dark, uneven spots. It’s also one of the ingredients used to treat acne marks. Along with glutathione, it forms half of the moisturizer’s whitening components.
Other Ingredients
Methyl Paraben. Parabens have been controversial for their negative effects on the skin, so if you’re looking for a paraben-free ingredients list, this is not it. However, in small amounts and with the offset of the sun protecting ingredients, the presence of methyl paraben in this product is most likely harmless. Instead, this common paraben simply acts as a preservative of sorts to make sure the formula stays stable and usable for longer.
Aluminum hydroxide. Certain websites list this as one of the product’s main ingredients, but it’s no longer on the official website. It’s possible older versions have a different formulation. Either way, aluminum hydroxide is what keeps the tint non-transparent. It also works as an emollient, skin protectant, and protective coating for the titanium dioxide.
Propylene glycol. Yet another ingredient previously associated with the Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer, but can no longer be found in the updated ingredients list. Propylene glycol can act as a penetration enhancer, allowing other hydrating ingredients to go deeper into the skin. As a multipurpose component, propylene glycol improves the freeze-thaw stability of the formula so it doesn’t freeze or melt when the temperature of its environment fluctuates. Additionally, you can count on propylene glycol to be a good humectant and a solvent.
Steareth 2, Steareth 21. Both these components help combine different ingredients so the mixture is more uniform.
How Do You Use Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer?

Our Verdict
When I first learned the concept of a tinted moisturizer, I was a little skeptical. After all, I always thought that makeup and skincare could never be combined in a single product. But Quick FX definitely changed my mind, and I was surprised at the coverage the product provided. I expected it to be super sheer, but the consistency afforded me enough coverage to conceal even red pimples and dark spots.
It’s as fuss-free as it’s claimed to be, too. I applied it onto clean, dry skin in light, circular strokes. Use it, like the website instructs, as a sunscreen, too, because it’s formulated with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Overall, I’m pleasantly shocked at how much power is packed into an unassuming product.
However, I would recommend users to still do their usual skin prep before putting the tinted moisturizer on. That includes moisturizer or primer, because at the end of the day, the tint still gets a little cakey. Or maybe that’s just my super dry skin.
OUR RATING
Now comes the final part of our Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer review: the rating. Based on its price, ease of use, and coverage, we’d say it deserves 4 stars, easily. The application is a no-brainer, and it provides more than enough coverage on its own without feeling too heavy or sticky. Grab it if you want a quick touch-up for an Instagram selfie or simply want to add a natural radiance to your face.
